Two more Beatle books to rescue from the shredder: At the Apple’s Core: The Beatles From The Inside by Denis O’Dell, and the Doug Sulpy/Ray Schweighardt book Get Back : The Unauthorized Chronicle of the Beatles’ Let It Be Disaster. In the former, on pages 20-21, O’Dell gives the perfect justification for avoiding most of the rest like the plague: shoddy research + bias + selling in huge quanities = historical mistruths that become nearly impossible to correct.

I know there are at least 2 others that deserve a better word from me, but the marketplace is overwhelmed with poisoned pens.

Adv-ice

“Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless—like water. Now, you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash! Be water, my friend.” —Bruce Lee

Today I want to be water… below freezing.

No title

bp: 114/85, which is something of a miracle, considering.

I was a bit surprised when my doctor brought it up (well, it was a dental assistant, originally). Then again, with the unreleased stress I’ve got, I shouldn’t have been surprised.

I’m debating over implementing Blogger’s new commenting feature. I did a quick run-through last night, but the result failed to validate.

This is a heartbeat message

The Complete Lenny Bruce site reported a few weeks back that Fantasy Records plans to reissue the 1972 Thank You, Masked Man compilation with bonus tracks in October, which is funny because when I asked them about it in 2001 I was told they no longer held the rights (although in retrospect they probably thought I was asking about the animated short, not the LP).
