Two more Beatle books to rescue from the shredder: At the Apple’s Core: The Beatles From The Inside by Denis O’Dell, and the Doug Sulpy/Ray Schweighardt book Get Back : The Unauthorized Chronicle of the Beatles’ Let It Be Disaster. In the former, on pages 20-21, O’Dell gives the perfect justification for avoiding most of the rest like the plague: shoddy research + bias + selling in huge quanities = historical mistruths that become nearly impossible to correct.

The Complete Lenny Bruce site reported a few weeks back that Fantasy Records plans to reissue the 1972 Thank You, Masked Man compilation with bonus tracks in October, which is funny because when I asked them about it in 2001 I was told they no longer held the rights (although in retrospect they probably thought I was asking about the animated short, not the LP).
