At last week’s screening of the Apple Films Inc. documentary The Concert for Bangladesh Revisited with George Harrison and Friends, Olivia Harrison announced The George Harrison Fund for UNICEF, a joint undertaking between the Harrison family and the U.S. Fund for UNICEF to support UNICEF programs that provide lifesaving assistance to children caught in humanitarian emergencies. The new Burt Bacharach disc At This Time (warning: copy-protected Sony disc) originally contained a much stronger lyric to the end of the song “Who Are These People?”, which Bacharach changed at the behest of Sony execs. Per a Los Angeles Times interview, he regrets doing so, and intends to release the original version as either a download or European single (hopefully, the former).
