An article in the Las Vegas issue (#36) of Loft on Cirque du Soleil president Daniel Lamarre gives some nice detail to the beginnings of the upcoming collaboration with The Beatles. (George Harrison was the crucial one behind it.)

We are living in a time

“We are living in a time when it is our mutual responsibility to think and to question. If a song can provoke or make anyone feel less alone in their anxiety and despair then it is just a tiny part of that process. Nothing more. Nothing less.”—Elvis Costello, from a letter posted at elviscostello.com
The Right Spectacle: US release
28 August 2005, 12:24
Rhino has scheduled a US release date of 27 September for The Right Spectacle—seemingly rather abruptly, since an article published 12 August in Billboard didn’t mention it, saying “A North American release date has not yet been finalized.” I’m trying to ascertain whether or not the disc will be a direct port of the Demon original because licensing restrictions often make such omissions a common liability with US DVDs (the Canadian edition of the DVD from Sloan’s A Sides Win: Singles 1992-2005, for example, has much more material than the US release).

Just a note: “ …hang on, be patient, it’s cool.”
