My mother-in-law periodically sends us a care package of coffee and tea. That Britain would have better off-the-shelf teas did not surprise me—I always thought Lipton was acrid and tasteless, and I had long since taken to ordering English and Irish Breakfast Teas from Stash. So getting a cache of PG Tips is a pleasure (although I’ve since discovered that our local Indian grocery and even the posh Legacy Village Giant Ego carry PG Tips).
However, I was shocked when I discovered Nestlé makes an instant coffee for Europeans that actually tastes of coffee, which is nothing short of miraculous because American instant coffee is swill.
